Epilepsy: my Super Power?

About me

I am Liz. I’m a nurse from Birmingham and I’ve hit the mid-thirties. It’s a good age to view the world from. It’s also easier to celebrate your achievements.

For instance, I can still run for a bus/ice cream van.
I can wear high heels without looking like Bambi on ice and can tolerate the loss of foot sensation the day after.
I can still mix my drinks and still vomit afterwards.
I can dance like (and usually when) no one is watching.
I can glare at children with no one suspecting me.
Upon spotting an attractive gent, I can scan for a wedding ring in approximately 0.1 seconds (if there is no wedding ring I’ll still avoid his gaze and nervously shuffle off).
I can stop in my tracks to appreciate the beauty of nature without being run over.

However, there are downfalls.
For example, whereas the sun shining on my face used to give me a casual, sun kissed glow, it now just magnifies my wrinkles and my “I’m too hot” sweaty, frown.
My elbows crack when I excitedly raise my arms in celebration.
When I’m bra-less my boobs pretty much flap in the wind.
I’m a delightful, sentimental, emotional soul but I also mutter “for f*ck’s sake” about 50 times a day.

Considering all this, I would like to publicly spill out the contents of my very noisy brain.
